The Foton Small Compactor Truck is designed for efficient urban waste collection and transport. Compact yet powerful, it combines a reliable compaction system with versatile bin handling to streamline garbage collection operations.
Efficient Compaction System
Featuring a 6 m³ body volume and a 2:1 compression ratio, the truck can handle up to 2,190 kg of waste per load. The hydraulic system operates at 12–14 MPa, providing smooth and consistent compaction while ensuring safety with lift cylinders and balance valves.
Hopper and Tailgate Design
The hopper has a capacity of 0.8 m³ and is equipped with a swing-type door. The tailgate also uses a swing-type design, with lift cylinder and lock mechanism ensuring a tight seal with the hopper, minimizing leakage and odor during transport.
Garbage Bin Handling
The truck supports 240 L manual lifts and optional hydraulic arms for efficient bin emptying. It can process up to 80 bins of 120 L each per fill, with a maximum load of 120–150 kg per bin. Manual lifting takes 30–40 seconds, while unloading is completed in under 25 seconds.
Hydraulic and Control Systems
The hydraulic system includes a 20 L/min pump with system pressure of 14 MPa, working pressure around 12 MPa, and relay set at 16 MPa. Operators can control the truck manually, electrically from the cab, or via remote, allowing flexible and safe operation in tight urban environments.
Safety and Auxiliary Features
The truck is equipped with emergency stop, rear work lights, and control panels both at the cab and rear of the vehicle, ensuring safe operation during loading, transport, and unloading.
Reliable Chassis
Built on a Foton BJ1076 4×2 chassis, it is powered by a 116 kW (158 hp) 25A-160C60 engine compliant with China VI emission standards. The 5-speed Wanliyang / Fast transmission, 3,360 mm wheelbase, and 7.00R16LT 14PR tires provide stability and reliable performance for urban operations. The Forland L5 single cab offers seating for 3 with air conditioning and electric windows, ensuring driver comfort during long shifts.
