The Dongfeng D6 road sweeper is developed for municipal sanitation, industrial zones, residential communities, schools, hospitals, and other urban cleaning applications. Combining mechanical sweeping and vacuum collection in a compact 4×2 platform, it provides efficient debris removal, dust control, and daily road maintenance performance.
Efficient Sweeping and Vacuum Collection
The vehicle adopts a four-brush sweeping arrangement combined with a rear suction nozzle, enabling simultaneous collection of dust, sand, leaves, gravel, and other road debris. With a sweeping width of up to 3.2 meters and a theoretical cleaning capacity reaching 90,000 m² per hour, it can cover large operating areas while maintaining consistent cleaning quality.
Independent Auxiliary Power System
A dedicated JMC-Isuzu auxiliary engine drives the sweeping equipment separately from the chassis engine. This design allows the sweeping system to maintain stable performance during operation while reducing load on the main powertrain. The automatic clutch protection system further improves reliability and helps extend the service life of key rotating components.
Wet Dust Suppression Technology
Integrated water spraying devices are installed on both the sweeping brushes and suction system. Combined with the 1.5 m³ stainless steel water tank, the system effectively controls airborne dust during operation, making it suitable for urban streets, industrial facilities, and other environments where dust reduction is important.
Durable Sweeping Components
The sweeping brushes are powered by hydraulic motors and feature automatic obstacle avoidance and self-return functions. Wear-resistant brush arm components and maintenance-free bushings reduce routine servicing requirements. The floating suction nozzle automatically follows road contours, helping maintain stable cleaning performance on uneven surfaces.
Practical Hopper and Control System
The 4 m³ stainless steel debris hopper uses a hydraulic lifting and dumping mechanism with a wide-opening rear door for convenient unloading. Operators can manage sweeping, water spraying, blower operation, and hopper control directly from the cab through an integrated control console with fault monitoring capability.
Compact Design for Urban Operations
With an overall width of only 2 meters, the sweeper can work efficiently in narrow streets, residential neighborhoods, parking areas, schools, and commercial facilities where larger sweepers may have limited access. Its operating speed range of 3–20 km/h allows both routine cleaning and higher-efficiency maintenance work.
Reliable Chassis Platform
Built on the Dongfeng EQ1075SJ3CDF chassis, the vehicle is available with several Euro VI-compliant engine options ranging from 130 hp to 140 hp. Combined with a Wanliyang manual transmission and full air brake system, the chassis provides dependable performance for daily municipal sanitation operations.
